

The actions of the Western Greece Region for Entrepreneurship on the European Week for Cities and Regions Week in Brussels

The integration plan for the year "Western Greece Region - Business Region 2017" was presented today in Brussels during the European Week in Brussels during a meeting of networks of Business Regions.
The Regional Governor of Western Greece, who was present at the presentation, welcomed the participation of Western Greece in the specific network and stated: "The institution of the elected Regions is new to Greece. Our Region, two years ago, on the initiative of its executives, which we fully supported as the Authority, presented an ambitious idea at that time. Designed a proposal for entrepreneurship. He claimed, on equal terms, competitively, European regions with great tradition and experience. Won, one of the three awards. And, today, implements the program. At the invitation of the European Commission's responsible Directorate-General, we are presenting the completion of the project, which is part of the European agenda. An international conference will take place in Patras next December, whose agenda was presented and integrated into the actions of the European Committee of the Regions."
At the same time, with the participation of our Region in these meetings, we are given the possibility of greater extroversion, recognition and cooperation opportunities. This is the first time that the Region of Western Greece participates with actions on the agenda of the European Week for Cities and Regions in Brussels. "With a plan, a claim and actions, we have a strong Region in Europe," the Regional Governor pointed out.
The philosophy and plan of the program of the International Conference "Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Development in Western Greece" was presented in Brussels by Christos Tzomakas, Director of the Regional Development Fund of the Region of Western Greece and a member of the Alliance for Entrepreneurship. The Regional Governor also analyzed the full agenda and provoked interest.
